We are thrilled to win this award and be recognised alongside other industry leaders in the employee experience across Australia.

The Australian Business Award for Employer of Choice recognises organisations that develop workplaces to maximise the full potential of their workforce through established policies and practices that demonstrate effective employee recruitment, engagement and retention.

Lumify Group CEO Jon Lang shared:

Lumify is proud to have been recognised as an Employer of Choice by The Australian Business Awards 2023.

Driven by our mission to enable people to thrive in the digital landscape of tomorrow, we launched initiatives to upskill our own people, create safer working environments and offer accessible learning opportunities for their loved ones. These initiatives are constantly refined with regular employee feedback.

This award is icing on the cake of an even stronger #OneLumify - a result of our rebranding from DDLS Group to Lumify Group. The brand refresh has unified our brands and brought our staff from different units and markets even closer.

Congratulations to our amazing team for their passion, innovation and the OneLumify spirit in everything that we do.

The Australian Business Award for Employer of Choice

Organisational participation in the Employer of Choice Awards includes private companies, publicly listed companies, multinational subsidiaries, not-for-profit organisations, non-government organisations, educational institutions, franchise systems, partnerships, government departments, government agencies, local government and statutory bodies operating in Australia.

Employers of Choice are required to demonstrate their achievements across the following key areas:

  • Organisational Culture & Leadership

  • Employee Education

  • Training & Development

  • Employee Health

  • Safety & Satisfaction

  • Performance Management

  • Recognition & Remuneration

Entries are assessed based on a rigorous and dynamic framework to ensure the assessment process is pertinent and objective. The Employer of Choice Framework (EOC Framework) is a structured assessment model made up of specialised assessment criteria and sub-criteria that provide a robust set of requirements used as the methodology for benchmarking and learning among the participating organisations.

The critical attributes of the EOC Framework outline the characteristics of well-managed, high-performing, industry-leading organisations that provide a stimulating and supportive workplace.

Participating organisations have the unique opportunity to benchmark themselves against the top performers globally. The recipients are acknowledged for their achievements and recognised as the elite of their industry, gaining a place amongst a distinguished group. The program highlights their products, projects, initiatives and contributions.

Lumify Group's EOC Submission

Throughout each quarter, Lumify employees receive invitations to join Lunch-n-Learns where speakers who are innovative, inspiring and educational speakers on a range of topics that they are experts in. This modality of learning is designed to easily fit into employees’ schedules, as sessions are delivered virtually and recorded.

With our company mission, Lumify invests in the next generation of leaders through the emerging leaders’ series. Several options are offered to those identified as the next leaders of Lumify to ensure they are ready for a leading role before they need to be.

About the Australian Business Awards

The Australian Business Awards are the regional chapter of an integrated, hierarchical leadership program conducted on a national and international level. Eligible organisations from each region can participate in the international chapter of the program at The World Business Awards.

The World Business Awards is conducted annually and is in its second year of international launch. The awards seek to engage with the world’s business, innovation and technology leaders through a global recognition and knowledge-building initiative underpinned by the program’s established framework.

The program engages with organisations worldwide to benchmark the full spectrum of their products, services and initiatives and to review their business performance. The cycle culminates in a celebration of the organisations that implement world-class business initiatives and industry-leading products and services on a prominent and far-reaching scale.
